OCTOBER CLASS: Shoulder Therapy
Class Description: Yoga calms the body so we can calm the mind. Join us on the first Monday of every month for a calm and accessible all-level yoga class. Bringing elements of Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative practice, instructor Lauren Lansford will lead you through a flowing and gentle class designed to support individual needs. Mats and props available at the studio. Register in advance or drop-in for a $15 suggested donation or barter in advance. Cash, card, and Venmo accepted on site.

Culturally Responsive Teaching for Beginners – Intro to equity, CRT, and courageous conversations about race. Participants will be able to define those practices, their importance, and the research behind them. We also begin working within to identify our own biases and learn how to work with them.
SEL in Content Instruction – For those already familiar with SEL, this workshop helps teachers form a mindful framework in their classroom to model and teach social-emotional skills.
Lunch Break Yoga for Teachers – You can’t serve from an empty vessel. This session helps teachers find space in their day for a mindful moment, and teaches restorative practices they can use during that time.
Restorative Practices for High-Stress Students – High-stress students benefit greatly from restorative practices like mindful movement and breath work. This session teaches those practices which you, the teacher, can use too!
Workshop Description: Who run the world? Teachers! We spend our days caring for others; it’s time to take care of ourselves! Carve new beginnings for your wellness before the new school year by joining Lauren Lansford in an interactive and informative workshop to help you better care for yourself as a teacher, administrator, or other education professional. Based in yoga philosophy and mindfulness, Lauren will boost your wellness journey by helping you understand the importance of real self-care, how to take care of yourself in the workplace, and how to establish strong self-care routines for the happiness of you and those around you.
