IMG_6348Lauren seeks integrity and wellness both on and off the mat. For her, this means leading with love and self-awareness, so we may better ourselves and the world around us. In the way asana prepares us for meditation, living yoga prepares us to lead healthy and compassionate lives outside of the studio too.

As a public school educator, her purpose is increasing equity & social justice from a wellness perspective. Beginning her career in a rural Title I school, she developed a keen sense of social awareness and deep compassion for community. She sees a yogic lifestyle as a way to care for teachers so they may better care for their students. To better understand yoga’s application in education, Lauren became a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Wellness Champion with Breathe for Change. Now, she conducts professional learning in her district and around the Central Texas area.

In addition to educational consulting, Lauren offers 1:1 and group wellness coaching through her business More Than Movement Yoga & Wellness.

When she’s not on a mat or in the classroom, you can find her hiking a trail, swimming in lakes, or snuggling with her two cats, Pancho and Margaux.
